The Organization
Founded on March 1, 2024, Pandemic Legal is a non-profit law firm that provides free and reduced-cost legal services to Americans affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Pandemic Legal is a corporate subsidiary of Pandemic Patients, which means that the revenue we earn through the firm is dedicated to mission-aligned patient advocacy projects for Americans affected by the coronavirus pandemic. By working with us, you’ll also be supporting other patients like you across the country.

Meet the Team
Andrew Wylam, Esq.
Executive Director and Chairman of the Board
As the Executive Director of Pandemic Legal, Andrew handles the day-to-day operations of the organization and supervises the work of the organization’s Staff Attorneys. Andrew also represents clients who need assistance applying for short-term and long-term disability benefits and appealing adverse benefit determinations.

Christopher Floyd
Board Secretary
Christopher Floyd is a member of the Pandemic Legal Board of Directors and currently serves as the Board’s Secretary. In this role, Christopher handles administrative tasks to support the operations of the Board of Directors.

Staff Attorney and Board Treasurer
Vickie Williamson is a Staff Attorney for Pandemic Legal. In this role, she represents clients in matters related to employment law, reasonable accommodations, and disability discrimination.
Joanna Smykowski, Esq.
Staff Attorney
Joanna Smykowski is a Staff Attorney for Pandemic Legal. In this role, she helps clients apply for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits and appeal adverse benefit determinations.
